Determining human’s value.
Do you think Elon Musk is better than you?
A human life that’s worth 1,5 billion dollars or a life worth nothing? Is 1 really that much more valuable than the other?
I am not a fan of capitalism, and one of the reasons it that everything is calculated in money. Someone’s health, well-being, the social position and the biggest of them all.. a life.
2 things made me think about it lately.
- the Succession series. (SPOILER ALERT). In one of the latest episodes an important character dies and the stock price goes dramatically down. The only comment of one of the kid’s is “That’s dad.”
- I randomly saw this post on IG and it triggered something in me.
So, there was a person eating a jar of pickles while walking the streets.
First of all… who cares? Why are we still in the phase of caring about stupid stuff like that?
Secondly… I’m just astounded that anyone can be surprised that people worth millions are normal people, that can just go out of their homes, without wearing jewellery or designer clothes and eat what they like. Like wtf is wrong with you people.
Do you believe that if someone is worth 440 mln then their life looks like Kardshians? It’s ridiculous.
